Intro to AI & Machine Learning

September workshop

Join us for an exciting in-person workshop designed just for girls aged 8-17 Whether they’re brand new to coding or eager to level up

Workshop Overview

This workshop introduces students to AI classification by training simple models to identify patterns, such as distinguishing whether an object is a fish or not. Beginners focus on basic classification exercises, while advanced learners explore deeper insights into how models interpret data and refine decision-making processes.

Beginner Path Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the concept of classification in AI.
  • Train a simple AI model to recognize patterns (fish activity).
  • Identify features that affect classification.
  • Experiment with data to improve model accuracy.
  • Apply problem-solving to machine learning challenges.

Advanced Path Learning Outcomes

  • Explore advanced classification use-cases.
  • Understand how feature importance is found in models.
  • Refine models through supervised training techniques.
  • Critically analyze AI decision-making processes.
  • Evaluate accuracy and optimize classification models.
