PROGRAMS
Black Kids Code is proud to offer a range of free, in-person workshops thoughtfully designed for both beginner and advanced students. Black girls aged 8 to 17 are introduced to the world of tech innovation through immersive, project-based workshops that explore the foundations of computer programming, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Our workshops are built around interactive, hands-on projects that allow students to explore real-world applications of technology. Each workshop is carefully developed by education and industry professionals, ensuring that content is age-appropriate, engaging, and aligned with current technology and learning trends. Plus, our workshops create a supportive space where girls can build confidence, ask questions freely, and see themselves reflected in technology.

By conducting our workshops on university and college campuses, we help make these spaces feel more familiar and accessible from an early age. This shows girls that they belong in post-secondary environments and to see themselves pursuing future studies and careers in technology and related fields.
We partner with accomplished Black women and STEM professionals who share their experiences and inspire the girls who attend our workshops. These mentors help students see new possibilities for themselves, while reinforcing that they belong in spaces where tech innovation is built and led.
